Chapter One
|
Everyone has had at least one best friend. Even if you don't think you never did, you're probably wrong. Everyone has probably had someone that they look to in a time of problems. This story is about a girl who has a lot of friends but when she moves she may not.
"Hey Leela what's up? Wanna hang out after school?" asked my best friend Sarah. "Ok" I said. "Hey Leela, Hi Sarah" said Byron Sarah's boyfriend. I felt like I really didn't belong being friends with Sarah and all the popular girls. I live in a town called Jasperville, Maine. Jasperville is the worst neighborhood in Maine. I live with my mom, dad, and my 5-year-old sister Belle. We are the Shermans, so I'm Leela Sherman. I hate where we live. I really didn't belong there. I hated Byron and Sarah and everyone else, they were mean and rude and untidy. I finished the day without screaming and I got on the school bus. I rode the bus to my above-a-store apartment. I opened the door and went inside. "MOM!" I yelled when I saw the boxes with everything that we have in them. "Yes baby?" asked Mom. "Why is everything packed up?" I asked. "We're moving to Waterbury, Vergina!" I just froze. I felt like I was going to cry. I was happy yet sad that we were moving. "We're leaving on Saturday morning." "Ok." I walked into my room and lay on my bed. I looked out the window and sighed. I wondered if Sarah would even care I left. Probably not because she's stupid. Later that night I lied on my bed, it was 2:02 in the morning. I listened to everything outside of the house. I heard dogs, cars, horns, yelling, cops, everything I didn't want to hear. It was at recess Friday afternoon when I told everyone. "I'm moving tomorrow." I said. "WHAT! You can't leave because what if Anne and me stop being friends, I won't have ANYONE! You're a trader! You're so stupid you stupid…AHHH!" Yelled Sarah. "Well too bad." I laughed, I have wanted to say that all my life to that stupid Sarah. "Get away from me!" Sarah yelled. "It'll be my pleasure!" I turned around and walked away.
2 days later we arrived in Waterbury. I was out on the porch after we unpacked everything. A girl walked over to me.    "Hello, my name is April what's yours?" She asked.    "My name's Leela." I said.    "Well do you want to hang out me?" April asked. After that afternoon April and I were bast friends until one day when I had to move to Texas. I had tried to get back in touch April in so many ways. "Leela baby, what you wastin' your time fer, girl?" Mom asked. "I'm calling April!" I snarled. "K" She said and walked out of the room. Leela waited all her life until she met a man named Robert Sleet and married him. She had one baby named Naiomi she was the cutest baby girl. One day while Leela was doing the dishes there was a knock on the door. "Hold on!" She yelled. She opened the door and fell into horror. "Leela, its me, April."    "April!" Leela screamed. She hugged her and burst into tears. April and Leela beame instant friends again until one day when Leela died of Cancer at 98 years old. Her daughter Naiomi lived to be 159 years old.
