At Beech Ridge, we cater to only the serious deer hunter.
If you are a deer hunter who has to see large numbers of deer for
the hunt to be a success, then don't hunt Maine.
But if you like to hunt truly large-bodied deer with big racks, then
come here.
Our buck-to-doe ration is 1:1. The rut peaks in the middle of the
season (about the 20th). In the past three seasons,
many 200+ pound bucks have been taken by the use of grunt calls,
they work especially well in the early season.
Scrape hunting has also produced very well.
Later in the season, many of our hunters take advantage of the
snow to try their luck at tracking.
Some have had good success, while others have had a good time.
Most of this country is intersected by logging roads,
but a person should know how to read a map and use a compass.
One of the nice things about hunting this area is the low number
of hunters. This allows you to concentrate on certain deer without
having to worry about another hunter messing you up!
This area has two different types of topography.
Starting ten miles to the north there are 2,000 to 4,000 foot mountains
with vast hardwood ridges.
Where our camps are is rolling country with mixed hard and soft woods
and some swamps.
We offer guided and non-guided hunts during this season
but whether you hire a guide or not, we do our best to get you
in an area where you'll have success.
Semi-guided hunt $550.00 Includes meals, lodging
or non-guided $400.00

Be carefull the deer are very sneaky here
Walk-in cooler on premises to keep your trophy in top shape.
