The
First Baptist Church Youth Ministry led by Sue Bowden provides both a Jr.-Hi Youth Group for students in grades 4-8 and a Sr. Hi Youth Group for students in grades 9-12. Our Jr. Hi Youth Group meets every Thursday from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and is open to all students. Our Sr.-Hi Youth Group meets Sunday evenings from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and is open to all students, as well.
We play wacky games like: paint my face with life savers
and snout shooting as well as some traditional games that are more tame.
Our wildest times involve food: Pudding sucking, Oreo slurping,
Kool-aid chugging, donut dunking, and baby food grab bag - to name a few.
We also take time to reflect on God's Word and
talk about how to know God and deepen our relationship with Him.
Our youth group ministry is led by Sue Bowden and a team of six adults
who enjoy having fun and don't mind loud noise, getting dirty or wearing
food.
On the first Thursday of every month we have a combinded youth group meeting and enjoy a dinner of pizza and nachos or maybe chocolate pancakes or maybe spaghetti and garlic bread. Our nextt combinded youth group meeting for the 2001-2002 School year will be on Thursday, November 1 at 6:00 P.M.. It will be a Pizza and Nacho Night.
