Sunday School: 9am weekly. Kindergarten thru Adult classes are provided during the school year (September-June); a Junior Church is provided during the Summer months.
Sunday Worship Service: 10:30am weekly, year round. A Nursery is provided for preschool children during the Worship Service. An open communion is offered bimonthly on the first Sunday of the month.
A Church Fellowship Luncheon is held following the morning Worship Hour, bimonthly, on the first Sunday of the month.
A Dare to Care type initiative, or small group prayer meeting, is scheduled on the first Wednesday evening of each month. Other regular midweek services are also offered.
A Church Fellowship Meal is often held at the church during the last week of each month. All are welcome!
Other services include pastoral counseling (by appointment), a weekly Kids Club (after school, January thru June), other periodic activities for youth, and a church library that contains many excellent resources; including videos, audio cassettes, and books for all ages. Our music ministry, as well as the emphasis of our Missions & Social Concerns commission (supporting missionaries overseas, as well as the ministry of Good Samaritan Mission in nearby Abbot), also serve as an important part of our church life.
WE HOPE THAT OUR SERVICES will be a benefit and a blessing to you. Our fellowship is centered around the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our church is not perfect, but our Savior is. We invite you to worship Him with us this Sunday.
THE DOCTRINE, TEACHING, AND MINISTRY of the church is based exclusively on the Bible, which we accept by faith and with good evidence as the inspired and inerrant Word of GodÑour sole, final, authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
THE MONSON COMMUNITY CHURCH historically consists of the combined fellowships of the Congregational Church of Monson (organized in 1821), and the Baptist Society of Monson (organized in 1827). Combined services between the groups were conducted as early as 1933, but it was not until 1959 that the two church buildings were actually joined together. Members not affiliated with either group were then welcomed to join a Community Church constituency. Many with ties to the town's two other former churches (Swedish Lutheran and Swedish Methodist) joined the work. For nearly 25 years (1967-1984-1991) the Monson church shared in a yoked arrangement with churches in the neighboring communities of Sangerville and/or Abbot. Today the Monson Community Church is congregationally governed, theologically evangelical, and denominationally affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (ECFA), New England District (NEDA).
